We are having a little storm right now. I'm going to go out and take some photos of it soon, if my camera co-operates. It's been freezing up a lot.
For now, I bring you last year's snowstorm with this photo.

The Drive to Work on Thursday Morning
This was a weird day where there was a thunderstorm and snowstorm. Thunderstorms usually only happend durring hot weather.
My husband took a snow day and stayed home! This is not my photo, I was at home watching from the window.

Not Tropical
Pink flamingos on Dundas Street, Toronto.
Now we are having a day where a lot of snow melted and it will all freeze again tonight. It makes walking around kind of dangerous.
Eaton Centre
This is the big mall downtown. It's somewhere I have spent a lot of time recently but haven't been able to find what I want.
I like the angles in this photo.

Parkdale
Good Catch is a store that I visited with my friend Sheryl. She was writing about them for a blog. It's a really cool place with a lot of organic food products, jewelry, art, pet stuff and other various things. Like a modern version of a good old fashioned general store. I want to show them my artwork, I think it would do well in there.

Snow Faces
I was walking down Brock Street and I was struck by these amazing snow faces that had formed on this tree. This was after a pretty big snowfall, where it had rained a bit on top of the snow and then froze over again. They look like they are talking.
When I walked by this house on my way home, they had melted to the point where they did not look like faces.
I wonder what they said in their brief conversation.
This is a really typical west Toronto house, with the bricks and that type of porch and everything.

Bike Racks
These are on Queen Street.
This city needs more bike racks. There's a lot of bicyclists in Toronto. I never realized about the shortage of racks until I had a friend who did a lot of biking and every time we would meet for lunch he would have a hard time finding a secure place to lock his bike.
Those bike racks don't get quite as much use in the winter though!
I also whacked my hand one one of them once, I was swinging my arms a bit as I walked and WHAM! They are right at the height of my hands. I also walked into one once when I was walking with a couple of friends.
I would like to ride a bike but I am too scared of cars.

A long exposure taken at night durring a heavy snowfall. Taken from the comfort of my own house! The building in the background is a school.

Queen Laundry and Dry Cleaning
An old sign, but there is still a laundry there. I should go in and demand my 25 cent wash and 10 cent dry, as advertised on the sign.

Pond in Allan Gardens
This is somewhere I've been meaning to go for a long time. I was planning on going there today but both my husband and I had a headache.
It's nice and warm inside durring the winter.

Queen and Roncesvalles
If you continue straight you will be in Parkdale. The streetcar is going up Roncesvalles, a Polish/Eastern European neighbourhood with lots of great little produce markets.
