A cool old metal sign on Dovercourt, near College Street. I wonder how long it's been since anyone danced here. There's a hand written sign on the building that says it's open from 2-5 AM, but I think that's got to be a joke.

No joke, it opens every weekend, the Matador is a long time fixture for Toronto's night owls. Leonard Cohen's poem/song "Closing Time" is about this place.
What the other anonymous guy said. I only found out recently myself. I walk by every day and eventually I just had to ask around.
I can't believe you don't know about the Matador. When the rest of the city is going to bed things are just getting started at the Matador. Check it out some night. Live bands, clandestine beers and some of the oddest people you'll ever run into. Highly recommended.
